With a DTE Home Protection Plus repair service plan, you can be covered for repairs on heating, cooling, and household appliances when they break down. This includes most parts for furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, and kitchen and laundry appliances. With a HPP plan you pay one low monthly cost and avoid the uncertainty of large, unexpected bills – there are no out-of-pocket costs for service calls, parts, or labor.
Plus, you never have to worry about who’s coming to take care of the service. When a problem occurs, you call one number, and a licensed DTE technician or approved contractor is dispatched. They’ll come to your home, diagnose the issue, and fix it on the spot if they can. If the problem can’t be fixed immediately, they’ll order the needed parts and schedule a convenient time to return and complete the repair.

Home Protection Plus plans cover repairs to your appliances. But what if your appliance can no longer be repaired? As your appliances get older, sometimes parts are no longer available. When that happens, instead of paying hundreds to replace your air conditioner, furnace or water heater, GreenBacks Cash Option protection pays you cash to help replace any appliances covered in your plan that can’t be fixed — up to $750 toward any new appliance, and up to $2,500 per year.
The GreenBacks Cash Option difference: cash to choose the appliances you want. While some protection plans offer replacement with a similar appliance, GreenBacks Cash Option puts the power of choice in your hands, in the form of cash reimbursement. So you can choose a similar appliance or upgrade to any brand you like, including newer models with the most up-to-date features.
